DA BURO х Палаты
Together with DA BUREAU's team of international architects, we created one of the most complex design objects - a kitchen model. We used the production facilities of Palaty Atelier as well as handcrafted labour.
In this collaboration, we wanted to reflect, first and foremost, not the object, but the principles and shared values of DA and Palaty - architectural, functional and handmade.
We eliminated decorative elements and contrived details and created a strict, laconic, yet exhaustively functional kitchen.

The materials and finishes have been carefully considered: stainless steel is ideal for the kitchen, hygienic and hard-wearing, and we have used veneer and textured ceramics to contrast its austerity and coldness.
Special attention should be paid to the table top supports, which are clad in handmoulded ceramics. We tested many samples and glaze formulations in order to match the shade of the veneer and harmonise the combination of materials. The supports are rough and rough, alive and elemental like the material itself.
Handmade ceramics and textured veneer made the kitchen "alive" and enhanced the visual image.

"As true architecture fans, we were inspired by the Constructivist period - it was the image of Constructivist buildings on legs that formed the basis of the kitchen island."
